I’m not gonna lie, seeing actual items that were recovered from the RMS Titanic after it’s infamous collision with an iceberg more than a century ago was, well… surreal to say the least.

I’ve studied the famous shipwreck from the time I was a child, and do my best to keep up with the latest news. For example, I was proud of the effort James Cameron put into getting the events of the ship’s sinking as exact as possible.

But even so, they discovered that the ship didn’t sink quite like they thought it did when the movie was released. It’s hard to truly wrap your head around the scope of what Titanic and its sinking represented.
